If a geometry or geography shares any portion of space then they intersect.

Buffer

Set a distance from a feature and select all features in a layer that are within that distance.

Within

Checks for features that are completely inside the specified or created feature.

Contains

Feature A contains Feature B if and only if no points of B lie in the exterior of A, and at least one point of the interior of B lies in the interior of A.

Overlaps

Features spatiually overlap when they intersect, but one does not completely contain another.

Touches

Finds features where the only points in common between a feature and other features lie in the union of the boundaries of feature and the other feature.

Layer Description

Layer Type

You have the options of importing an External layer or a MapGenie layer if you have the appropriate URLs, security tokens, etc.

If you're new to this just stick with an AziMap Layer for now
Feature Type

What type of features to draw on your layer and in turn how your information will be displayed on a map

The choices are points, lines and polygons
Layer Group Name

Layers that share a group will appear alongside each other on a map's layer list
Coordinate System

A locational projection can be entered if there's a specific area you'll be working on

The default is world wide so just use it if you're not sure
Save/Update

Click here to save your layer
