The choices are intersects, buffer select, overlaps, within, contains and touches.

So for example if you choose intersects, the analysis would return all features that intersect the Geometry Source on the chosen layer

Click the help icon for details on what exactly each of these functions do

  4. Update Radius

Select the units of measurement and enter a size for your radius (only active if you chose Buffer Select under Spatial Function)

The choices are the currently selected feature, an area on the map of your choosing or a second map layer

  6. Area Type

Select box or circular area (only active if you chose Area under Geometry Source

Then drag your area onto the map

Click redraw if you make a mistake

  7. Secondary Layer

Select a secondary layer (only active if you chose Layer under Geometry Source)
