Select a feature on the map to perform intersect analysis on all visible layers.

Freehand feature analysis

Draw a custom feature on the map and analyse all intersecting features across all visible layers. Alternate freehand draw option using shift key when drawing.

  1. Spatial Analysis


    Please take a minute to take the tour

  2. Select Layer

    Choose which layer you want to perform the analysis on

  3. Spatial Function

    Select a function to run

    The choices are intersects, buffer select, overlaps, within, contains and touches.

    So for example if you choose intersects, the analysis would return all features that intersect the Geometry Source on the chosen layer

    Click the help icon for details on what exactly each of these functions do

  4. Update Radius

    Select the units of measurement and enter a size for your radius (only active if you chose Buffer Select under Spatial Function)

  5. Geometry Source

    Select the area to run the analysis against

    The choices are the currently selected feature, an area on the map of your choosing or a second map layer

  6. Area Type

    Select box or circular area (only active if you chose Area under Geometry Source

    Then drag your area onto the map

    Click redraw if you make a mistake

  7. Secondary Layer

    Select a secondary layer (only active if you chose Layer under Geometry Source)

  8. Generate Script

    A script must be generated before you can run the analysis

    For some Spatial Functions this happens automatically

    If it doesn't appear click here

  9. Execute Filter

    Click here to run the analysis and display features that fall within your selected Spatial Function

  10. Reset

    Click here at any time to restart the process
